It was a sunny, afternoon as we travelled into Renfrew, PA. We were all very excited about our upcoming gathering of friends and meeting new acquaintances for the weekend. Each of us had booked rooms ahead of time, I was the lucky one.
The Heather Hill Inn had everything I needed. Little ponds, hiking trails, animals, and lots of trees. I walk every day so to be able to get up and hike new terrain
was a super plus. The large boulders and scattering of historic landmarks were fun to discover. However, the Hairy Coo walk-about was a joy. To visit with
George the Highland Prince was fun and made me
laugh.
The proprietors Miss Julie and Mr. Steven were gracious host. They listened to me rattle on about everything. I grew up here and the area is still very special to me.
My favorite place was their living room/library, and the view of the little ponds. I read about Mary Fields in there. I was transferred back to 1832, and learned about this amazing woman. Stagecoach Mary. I encourage you to sit back pull a book down and
wonder.
